The Covid-19 crisis in Israel actually intensified efforts at Pele Yoetz’s Yeshiva Placement Department. Despite government restrictions imposed due to the virulent spread of the virus, our representatives have been working overtime ensuring that no yeshivah bachur will be left behind without an appropriate framework of study come Elul zman.
Pele Yoetz’s Yeshiva Placement Department offers a warm, urgent response to any yeshivah bachur who finds himself without a proper setting for the coming zman. Not only does the Department campaign for his acceptance into an excellent framework that is the right choice for him, but also keeps abreast of his acclimation and progress in the yeshivah at the start of the zman to ensure a smooth transition and satisfying beginning. Despite the worldwide crisis that has shut down and/or constrained so many industries and organizations, Pele Yoetz hasn’t curtailed or even diminished its efforts in this realm.
At a time when severe restrictions were in place, and even during lockdown, Pele Yoetz’s Administration made sure that this vital Department would continue helping bachurim and ensuring that they start off the new zman at the right time, and in the right place.

As soon as the lockdown ended, the Yeshiva Placement Department ramped up efforts to include face-to-face meetings with the required transparent partitions in order to safeguard public health.
Rabbi Feldman of the Yeshiva Placement Department notes: “Unfortunately, the yeshivah world is not functioning as always, and many bachurim are at home instead of in their regular learning frameworks. Despite and specifically because of this, Pele Yoetz is pulling additional hours now to place every bachur who doesn’t yet have an arrangement for next year in the right setting, so he can continue learning and growing in Torah and yiras Shamayim.
“Our work isn’t done yet, but baruch Hashem our efforts have met with unprecedented success. Dozens of bachurim have been accepted into solid yeshivos and are now looking forward to a year of serious learning. At this time, I want to send a vital message to parents to be in touch now rather than wait for the last minute. Guaranteeing that our bachurim have a proper setting to learn is a matter of dinei nefashos, and it’s both our duty and sacred responsibility to do everything we can—and as early as possible—to know that every bachur has a place to be.”
