Every year at this time, dozens of bachurim nationwide find themselves without a framework of study for the upcoming Elul zman after being rejected from the yeshivos of their choice. They suffer needless shame, anxiety and fear of the future as they encounter one closed door after the next. Both the bachur and his parents are at a loss, in many cases feeling that they’ve missed the boat.
In an effort to avert the crisis before it happens, Pele Yoetz Center founded its Yeshiva Placement Department several years ago which invites bachurim to apply and be placed in yeshiva frameworks appropriate to their needs and skills. The process includes a comprehensive evaluation of the bachur’s needs, skills and academic history, placement, and periodic checks and followup on the bachur until he acclimates comfortably into his new yeshiva.
Roshei yeshivos from all sectors are in steady contact with Pele Yoetz Center in order to facilitate this project and ensure a smooth application, acceptance and adjustment period for all.
“With strong, clear communication on all ends and our efficient placement system, we’ve reached a very high percentage of enrollment, baruch Hashem, bringing simchah and relief to dozens of talmidim and their parents,” asserts a member of the Yeshiva Placement Department.
Now in the first weeks of Tammuz, as entrance exams are being held in most yeshivos, the Yeshiva Placement Department is working round the clock to avoid last minute pressure and ensure that all bachurim have a suitable yeshiva for the upcoming zman.
