The recent conference of menahalim and senior faculty members of Pele Yoetz Center exposed several fascinating and surprising points regarding children with learning, social and/or emotional difficulties. In the past, many of these children sadly fell through the cracks of the system, but today, they are benefiting from holistic professional support and succeeding beyond estimation.
In the course of the conference, one menahel described the overall change of perception and attitude on this subject: “In the past, the prevailing belief was that children with learning difficulties were destined to struggle throughout their lives… Now we see that there is a solution to almost any problem, and the earlier it is dealt with, the better!”
