With 5782 behind us and 5783 now in full swing, Pele Yoetz looks back with satisfaction and pride on a year of outstanding success and achievements. Drawing lessons from prior experiences, along with motivation and encouragement from the organization’s Rabbanim and morei hora’ah, the directors embark enthusiastically on a new year that will, iy”H, bring hatzlachah and nachas to students, parents, educators and mechanchim, and expand the borders of Torah and kedushah within our communities.

Pele Yoetz’s Departments sum up their year:

> Yeshivah Placement Department: Throughout the summer months of 5782, hundreds of bachurim were placed in yeshivah frameworks suited to their strengths and needs. With the Elul zman now behind us, we’re already receiving tremendous positive feedback from parents, bachurim and yeshivah faculties alike.

> Al Pi Darko: The early-intervention mentorship program in Yerushalayim opened the year with a Kinus and special tefillah event for mentors who davened for the hatzlachah of the program’s talmidim. The tefillah was followed by fascinating lectures on the subject of teaching and reinforcing learning skills in students.

> Pele Yoetz Institute: The Institute published an array of content by the organization’s Nasi Hagaon Harav Dovid Levy shlit”a on topics of chinuch and the Jewish home, including hundreds of questions and answers on these essential subjects. The monthly question-and-answer column printed regularly along with this issue is likewise thanks to their devoted efforts.

> Pele Yoetz Course Department: The Department congratulates all course participants who acquired the foundations of emotional therapy and counseling from a Torah perspective throughout the past year. All course content was reviewed and approved by Hagaon Harav Dovid Levy shlit”a, and participants received a comprehensive professional toolbox that empowers them to effectively and professionally counsel struggling children and adolescents.

> Chinuch: Pele Yoetz’s Chinuch Department collaborated extensively with principals and administrators of boys’ and girls’ schools in a concerted effort to elevate the level of chinuch in each school and ensure that every child is on the right track to attaining and increasing yiras Shamayim. Hundreds of students who were struggling academically and/or socially benefited from professional counseling and support.

> Shalom Bayis: The Department’s system underwent a significant transformation that now enables couples to receive prompt response, evaluations and referrals to certified therapists or mediators who have restored peace and harmony to many homes. The Department’s exhaustive efforts are born of Pele Yoetz’s intense desire to reinforce the pillars of every Jewish home and carried out responsibly in order to cultivate peaceful, meaningful relationships between spouses.

> Case Management: The Department reports a vastly improved system that operates effectively with full discretion and deep compassion for the people involved. Dozens of individuals have received vital assistance and support under the guidance of Hagaon Harav Dovid Levy shlit”a, and are now well on the road to recovery. Rabbi Levy personally reviews every case, makes referrals and offers specific guidance until every individual reaches a full solution.
