Following close to two decades of supporting the charedi community in Eretz Yisrael in the realm of chinuch and shalom bayis, Pele Yoetz Center is finally expanding.
For years, Pele Yoetz Center under the auspices of Hagaon Harav Dovid Levy shlit”a has been a spiritual lighthouse that drew Roshei Yeshivos and mechanchim, parents and bachurim to its doors. Here is where Klal Yisrael’s most sensitive chinuch issues are addressed and resolved, and here is where hundreds come weighted down with heavy burdens and leave with their dilemmas resolved.
As the need steadily increased, the organization’s facility swiftly grew too small to accommodate the many petitioners. Over time, thousands of applications and requests for urgent assistance were put on hold only for lack of space. With each passing year and new department added to the organization, the facility became smaller and smaller until conditions were truly impossible.
Now, after many years, Pele Yoetz is finally expanding, building spacious offices to house its many departments and enable therapists to offer their vital services to those in need. The entire operation is overseen by Hagaon Harav Dovid Levy shlit”a, who is widely acclaimed as one of the international authorities on contemporary chinuch and is a maven in the emotional needs of the charedi sector.
The new, expanded and renovated Center will feature additional counseling rooms. The Course Department and Parenting Classes will be expanded, and many other departments are receiving a facelift as well.
Last week, Pele Yoetz celebrated the Kvias Mezuzos and Chanukas Habayis of the new expanded Pele Yoetz offices. The special event was attended by the Spinka Rebbe shlit”a from New York who is the spiritual father and patron of Pele Yoetz and is closely involved in every aspect of the organization. In attendance were also Pele Yoetz’s faculty, among them the department directors and administrators who unanimously expressed their joy and gratitude to Hashem Yisborach for bringing them to this day.
The Spinka Rebbe of America, who has supported the organization since its inception, expressed the profound joy and privilege he feels in partnering with this sacred organization which offers vital help to Klal Yisrael and prevents countless pure neshamos from going astray. The Rebbe is a powerful advocate of caring for emotional health and teaching skills that empower people to overcome life’s challenges with success.
Nasi of Pele Yoetz Hagaon Harav Dovid Levy shlit”a described the essence and significance of the Center which encompasses a whole world of chinuch and emotional health and has initiated a revolution in chinuch habanim. Through its flagship program Al Pi Darko, which offers early intervention evaluations and therapy for young cheider children in school, Pele Yoetz is guiding over a dozen chadarim to identify learning issues in young children and provide the academic support that empowers them to succeed in life. All this is a key factor to nipping issues in the bud and averts long-term issues before they develop.
The event culminated with joy and optimism. Members of the administration note that the expansion of the offices sends a message to kehillos throughout the charedi sector in Eretz Yisrael, inviting them to call or visit, present questions or dilemmas, receive comprehensive information regarding chinuch, and receive clear answers in a calm, pleasant atmosphere.
