Every Bachur Is An Olam Malei! Yeshivah Placement Department Satisfied as Elul Zman Begins

Pele Yoetz

With the start of Elul 5782, thousands of bachurim have just commenced a new zman, and Klal Yisrael joins them in tefillah that they should all merit a year of hatzlachah in learning and yiras Shamayim.

Following month of concerted effort to guarantee that “No bachur is left behind,” Pele Yoetz’s Yeshivah Placement Department, under the auspices of the organization’s Nasi Hagaon Harav Dovid Levy shlit”a, can finally celebrate success. The dedicated faculty members have worked intensely throughout the summer and preceding zman to place bachurim in yeshivos across the country that are suited to their respective needs and strengths.

With the blessed natural growth of the charedi community in Eretz Yisrael, the burden shouldered by the Yeshivah Placement Department grows from year to year, yet the devoted faculty rises annually to the challenge by adding hundreds of hours of work, intensifying their efforts and campaigning day and night vis a vis yeshivah administrators from every community and sector to ensure that every bachur has a yeshivah.

Rabbi Yechezkel Feldman shlit”a, director of Pele Yoetz’s Yeshivah Placement Department, explains:

“We started out small, with the basic goal of preventing a situation in which a struggling bachur would be left without a yeshivah at the start of the zman. Yet today, we’ve expanded into a major hub that assists even outstanding bachurim choose the yeshivah that’s best suited to their needs and learning levels. In most cases, Hagaon Harav Dovid Levy shlit”a is right at the forefront of our efforts and can personally recommend the yeshivah that is the best match for each bachur. But this role requires a great deal of effort, countless hours from the staff and, above all, siyata diShmaya in order to lead each bachur to the right place, because every bachur is an olam malei, an entire world. Baruch Hashem, this year, we were zocheh to tremendous siyata diShmaya, and we are delighted to see the fruits of our labor as thousands of bachurim begin the new zman with a good feeling.”

As the Elul zman kicks off with hundreds of bachurim placed in solid yeshivos and the last cases in their final stages of being resolved, the Department faculty can state with satisfaction that they’ve reached their goal of supporting Klal Yisrael’s bachurim as they ascend along the path of Torah and yiras Shamayim and ensuring that no bachur is left behind.
