One of the paramount elements in chinuch which has, unfortunately, fallen to the wayside in the last decade due to foreign educational trends is parental authority. It is now seeing a comeback due to Pele Yoetz’s parenting course which places strong emphasis on parents creating and maintaining a firm sense of authority in the house as a means of strengthening the family unit and solving a wide scope of chinuch problems. The course is presented in cooperation with Tchilah Center which specializes in this realm, for the benefit of both parents and children.

As proven time and again, the foundational pillar of the home which serves as the axis on which all chinuch revolves is parental authority. Recent educational trends have thrust it aside in an effort to focus more on the child’s sentiments and emotions, yet the negative outcome is plain to see. While the latter is surely critical and essential to explore and understand, the two must not necessarily conflict. In this outstanding parenting course, Pele Yoetz brings parental authority back to center stage and highlights it as the very basis of parents’ leadership skills which molds the educational and moral atmosphere in the home.

Pele Yoetz’s parenting course is led by Rabbi Yaakov Tannenbaum shlit”a. It is offered in cooperation with Tchilah Center which relays a wide range of professional tools, projects and personal guidance in education with the goal of offering the community maximal resources to strengthen the Jewish home in the ways of the mesorah.

The course includes 8 meetings, each replete with knowledge, professional skills and impressive resources. The course is open to men, and to women on close-circuit camera. Lessons can also be heard repeatedly on the Pele Yoetz hotline which avails a fascinating range of recorded lectures and personal guidance to callers.
