The chinuch revolution spearheaded by Pele Yoetz has just advanced to the next level with the completion of the Al Pi Darko Mentoring Course last month. At last month’s commencement ceremony, a dozen course participants received certificates of excellence from Hagaon Harav Dovid Levy shlit”a, Nasi of Pele Yoetz Center in Yerushalayim.
Al Pi Darko, the flagship chinuch project of Pele Yoetz Center, is committed to dismantling misconceptions in teaching and mentoring while improving the teaching skills of tutors and mentors engaged by chadarim in Eretz Yisrael and empowering them to provide professional learning support to struggling students and guide along the path to academic and social success.
Taking practical steps to achieve this goal, Pele Yoetz launched a mentoring course that offers comprehensive training and skills geared to both veteran and aspiring educators. The course engaged premier educators from the charedi sector who presented a broad range of educational content in a clear, comprehensive syllabus.

Numbering among the distinguished presenters in the Al Pi Darko Mentoring Course were Hagaon Harav Moshe Blau, Rabbi Yosef Goldstein, Rabbi Aviezri Cohen, Rabbi Yitzchak Roth, Rabbi Alexander Moskowitz and others. Pele Yoetz’s Nasi Hagaon Harav Dovid Levy shlit”a presided over the course, offering guidance and critiquing the content to ensure it all adhered to Pele Yoetz’s uncompromising standards.
At the commencement ceremony, course participants proudly and joyfully expressed their gratitude for the professional training and the useful practical skills that they gained throughout the months-long course.
“The presence of superbly-trained tutors and mentors in the cheider system is sure to have a very positive impact on students in chadarim and yeshivos, as well,” expressed a course presenter.
“The concept of professionally-trained tutors is a tremendous boon to charedi chinuch.”
At the commencement ceremony, course graduates and guests were privileged to hear divrei chizuk and brachah from Nasi Hagaon Harav Dovid Levy; Rabbi Menachem Sheinberger, executive director of Pele Yoetz; and Rabbi Avraham Vitman, Al Pi Darko project director.
At the close of the evening, course participants were invited to present questions to Hagaon Harav Dovid Levy shlit”a, stimulating a vigorous discussion that will surely be remembered by the course participants for many years to come.
Following the positive feedback and interest for additional courses and advanced training, Al Pi Darko’s administrators are currently working on developing a Stage 2 Advanced Course for experienced tutors and mentors. The course is scheduled to be launched in the coming weeks.
